(More customer reviews)I normally like Burt's Bees products, and have been wetshaving with a double edged Merkur razor with platinum blades for quite a while. Burt's Bees used to make Bay Rum shaving soap cakes that lathered well and had a nice scent.I tried this shaving cream expecting the same level of product.

It was VERY POOR compared to even dollar bars of shaving soap.

This cream stays very tacky when applied to the face, and does not mix with water well at all.As a lubricant it stays sticky on your face and gums up the razor blade badly.Even rinsing off the blade under a very hot tap does not clear the blade of hair and goo.

I tried using it straight on my face as a shaving lubricant and it remained sticky.I tried mixing it in a shaving bowl with a nice brush, and it produced no lather and got my brush sticky.It was completely useless as a shaving aid.Maybe the next time I need to paste together two sheets of paper I will get it out of the cabinet, but I recommend staying far far away from this stuff!

(More customer reviews)I was drawn to this product by the packaging and the list of all-natural ingredients.It effectively cleans like any other body wash and rinses away with no residue. It's not drying, but it's not ultra-moisturizing either, and it does not leave a lasting vanilla scent on your skin. It's also thinner than most body washes so be mindful not to dispense all of it in one squeeze.Hugo Naturals seems to take care to make sure they provide quality products that are also good for the planet. I would recommend it to anyone but probably look around for other options for myself that either provide more smell for the buck or just less buck.
