(More customer reviews)OK, I am sensitive to fragrances and scents in products. I saw this body wash for sensitive skin, with Unscented on the label. I thought, "Great!"Bought it. Tried it, and wondered why my hands smelled. Read the fine print on the label--it has fragrance in it!!It is not unscented!!This is misleading labeling. I thought I would use it by the kitchen sink as a hand wash rather than a body wash, and it has enough fragrance in it that my cat will not eat her food if I touch it after using this product on my hands.

To all the reviewers who love this...OK, maybe the soap part works for your sensitive skin. But if your skin is sensitive to fragrance, like mine, or you have nasal allergies to fragrances,DO NOT buy this product.

Do I sound upset? I am upset--how can a reputable company call a scented product "unscented" and sleep at night?Why not just say "sensitive skin" and leave it at that? Don't make untrue claims on your label.

(More customer reviews)I've used all versions of Dove soaps successfully for years, but "successful" for *me* means not using it on my face *ever* & not using it on my chest or back during the summer, when those areas of my skin become oilier than in cooler weather & more prone to break-outs.
However, this soap *is* very moisturizing to the skin & I love using it in the shower during the winter. My daughter, who has dry skin year-round, uses it successfully year-round & it keeps *her* skin smooth & soft. It is so mild compared to most commerical bar soaps, in fact, that my pediatrician recommended using it as my daughter's bath soap when she was still an infant.
However, if your skin is at all prone to breakouts, use something else for your face & any other susceptible areas. Although the claim is that each bar contains "1/4 cup of moisturizing lotion," in fact, the moisturizing components are derived principally from animal tallow (sodium tallowate), & coconuts (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Coconut Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoate or Sodium Palm Kernelate), both of which can aggravate or trigger breakouts & blackheads in those susceptible to acne (see "Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter without Me" by Paula Begoun).

(More customer reviews)I needed more body wash like I needed a ... well, since I'm in an early-morning non-creative funk, I'll use a worn-out cliche: like I needed a "hole in the head." Bear with me, I get better when the cob-webs are cleared from my fuzzy brain.

But when Amazon sent me a promotional, bearing the time-honored name of Dove, saying it "deeply moisturizes," I couldn't resist.Truthfully, what really sold me was the "pouf." I don't know what to do with that, but I thought I'd have fun experimenting. ... lol

My dove and pouf arrived and after a few showers, I must admit it does have zip; my body now feels like a velvet glove ... or a satin sheet? So all is happy in Sunny Cali. (I don't exactly feel "beautiful," but I got a big "lol" from this dramatic line in their product description: "Dove's mission is to widen today's stereotypical view of beauty and inspire all women to feel beautiful and take great care of themselves.")

... Mission? Yeah ... right!

I deleted one star because I think the price is too high; I could have purchased it at Target for much less. Sorry, Amazon.

P.S. To respond to one of the reviewers who wasn't pleased with the new bottle design because s/he couldn't place the bottle upside down to get the last "dregs" of moisturizing soap, here's a tip that I taught my kids years ago: Just add some water to the mix and VOILA: good to the last dribble.

As the years went by, my skin started to become very dry. I, like most men, thought, "Dove? Oh it must be for women. I'm too manly to use Dove." I was wrong. This is the best soap ever. My skin got better in just two days of using this soap. For less than a $1 per bar (using subscribe & save), this is a bargain!
