I no longer have that "yucky" feeling on my hands after folding the washing that makes me immediatly wash and moisturise my hands (which is ironic since I was folding clean clothes). The soap nuts leave clothes soft and residue free. The extra wash bags have been very handy for me to have because it's sometimes hard to find the soap nut wash bag in amongst the newly washed clothes in the washing machine and it therefore goes into the dryer with all of the clothes. Having extra wash bags means that I can just fill a new wash bag with soap nuts and chuck it in with the next load then use the other wash bag that went into the dryer later. Does that make sense? :) I read that soap nuts are not damaged if they go in the dryer.
A couple of tips that have helped me: 1, We have hard water so vinegar helps the soap nuts work better; 2, I sometimes forgot how many times I had used the bags so I put 3 sticky notes on my washing machine. The first has the numbers 1 - 2, the 2nd has 3 - 4, the 3rd has 5 - 6. I point the top of the soap nut wash bag to the number of times it has been used so I no longer have to try and remember.

It seemed like a scam when there were no suds at all and it felt like I was doing laundry in just water, but after doing 4 large loads of laundry, including pee'd bedding that usually takes vinegar to get the smell out (i used nothing but the soapnuts), they came out smelling clean. I used the same 5 pieces of soapnuts for all 4 loads. I've also done 4 loads of dishes in the dishwasher using another 5 pieces of soapnuts and the dishes came out clean everytime.

(More customer reviews)Wow....I feel very betrayed.The picture may say "96 HE loads" but the product description just says "96 loads".

I usually buy a common natural powdered detergent that is 100 loads for $17. (17 cents a load)(sometimes on sale for $14.00)

I THOUGHT this product was going to give me 96 loads for $21.95 plus $5.95 shipping.

Turns out, it is only 48 loads for regular washing machines!At a total cost of $27.90, that's 58 cents a load!
The "96 loads" is only for HE machines.You may be doing something for the environment, but you are not saving any money as they purport.

I will go back to using the natural detergent as it actually contains ENZYMES and enzymes are the thing that truly removes dirt and stains.
