(More customer reviews)To have this much cleaning power come from a small 8-ounce bottle is difficult to believe at first. But it really is true. I've seen nothing that compares to it. To be a natural surfactant (detergent) makes it even more incredible.
I've been writing quite a few comments about soap nuts, and firmly believe they are carving a niche into a market that has been dominated by big business and chemical producers for the last century. To see something like this that's "off the chart" in almost all ways is remarkable. There are a few brands that embraced the potential of soap nuts, but this is uniquely different - way ahead of its time. Even the big boys (with all their resources) haven't come up with anything so effective, and genuinely safe and green.
Don't expect miracles with this or any soap nut product. Nothing does everything. That's unrealistic, particularly for a natural detergent. I haven't thrown out my Spray N' Wash, or Oxyclean yet. But I can tackle 75-80% of my normal laundry and cleaning needs with just this single product. That's a huge step in the right direction. Interestingly, what it doesn't do well, it offers lots of other benefits to offset the shortfalls. It's hard to explain what "soap nut" clean is like. Softer...fresher...less wrinkles...no chemical itch...no detergent smell...zero skin irritation (I love what it does for my jeans! They have never felt this soft and comfortable.)
The results from 18X is as close to using the raw soap nuts as it gets. And it works better in some scenarios. Obviously it is very convenient to use. The pump is awesome. No more measuring. Measuring without spilling such tiny amounts was my only beef.
I've commented about how some soap nut products may be improved imo. In time we'll likely see improvements in other products, but this is at the pinnacle of saponin (soap nut extract) cleaning technology as it exists today.
Although I hope that it goes unsaid, the environmental impact of 18X must be incalculable. See the picture that compares it to the products it replaces. That picture tells the whole story. It is no wonder why it is winning so many awards.
